I retired from a career as a Registered Nurse (Emergency, Intensive Care and Drug/ Alcohol Rehabilitation) in 1991. I have been married for over 40 years to Russ, a career naval officer and have 2 adult children and 1 grandchild. I am the daughter of a Victoria pioneer family and horses have been a part of my life for over 55 years. I currently own and keep 2 horses at home – Easy, a retired Dutch/TB cross and Johnny, a Canadian whom I have trained and shown successfully. Russ and I also share our home with 1 Manx cat, Kipper, and a Brittney, Divot. I am very active in the Victoria dressage community and enjoy organizing the shows for the Lower Island Equestrian Club. As well as my horses I enjoy my family, gardening, Scrabble and my amazing job. I also love to travel and have been very fortunate in this regard – we have lived in Ontario, Nova Scotia, London England and Norfolk Virginia and have taken advantage of 18 career moves to explore North America, Europe, Japan and the Caribbean.
I am very proud to say that I am one of the lucky employees who have been on staff at Greenhawk Vancouver Island since the store opened in 2006 and I continue to learn every day from my customers and my co-workers.
